At first, you play as a General Leo, a young army general who is determined to fight the evil in the world until death. But if you've reached a high level and have a lot of gold coins, you can buy a more powerful General.

At the beginning of the game you are offered a tutorial level. After passing through the tutorial level, you will be able to directly play the levels to another levels very easily. Because the initial levels is quite easy to play. Each level has a different battlefield that begins with the narration in the form of a conversation so that we know what the mission that we must complete at that level.

The enemy troops came in waves. General Leo should move backwards to avoid enemies, while at the retreat path that we make, we must put the troops to counter enemy forces attack. Every soldier or weapon that we can place our upgrade or increase its ability twice. Whenever we manage to kill an enemy soldier, then we will get gold coins. The coins can be used to buy new soldiers or upgrade existing soldiers. Besides the combat soldiers, we are also able to purchase a weapon catapult, witch, also porters digger gold coins which can increase the amount of our gold coins.

Another difference compared to the previous Empire Defense game, is the general ability to move backwards using the horse away from the enemy and build troops along the backward path. This can delay the enemy forces in the general approach. If the general was killed, then the game was over.
